In remarks delivered at the forum, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated that the event was an opportunity to develop the Armenian-Austrian economic relationship, deepen it further and establish new mutually beneficial business ties.

The government of Armenia is taking all necessary steps to create a business-friendly environment, the minister said. This includes the development of democratic institutions and the fight against corruption, as well as the establishment of free, competitive market relations in Armenia.

Alexander Schallenberg—Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria—commented that bilateral relations between states cannot be complete without solid, business relationships.

At the end of the forum, Austrian company Doppelmayr and Armenian company Myler Mountain Resort signed a memorandum agreeing to build a new ski complex in the village of Yeghipatrush. Another document was signed relating to the modernization of the Sevan-Hrazdan Cascade hydro-power plant.
